Dramatic Winged House by K2LD Architects.

Honestly, I think when some architects design contemporary homes its like they're just having fun and I love it because the result is always fantastic and laudible. Such is the case with the winged house, a contemporary home designed by K2LD Architects. Located in Singapore, the home is inspired by traditional Malay Architecture with its plan split into "adjacent forms, with a pair of trapeziums which mark the boundaries of the garden area". The roof was built to extend over the exterior interactive spaces including the terrace, the pool and the rich greens that surround the building allowing the exterior flow seamlessly into the interior. The result was a beautiful, artistic building that stuns both inside and outside.

The architects used natural stone, wood and marble which combined with the rich greens to create a natural, soft environment that is inspiring and refreshing. The roof is obviously centerstage in this project, it definitely goes noticed and has successfully added to the incredible character of this structure. Its those kind of things you see and you find yourself saying;
 "uhmm, I love this roof, wow, I love this house."
Yep its that amazing!

Boasting of beautiful angles and incredible overhangs, the winged house is an example of what architecture looks like when we as architects decide to go on an adventure of creativity.
